In between the slices are piles of goodness, from the succulent ham and juicy tomatoes to the sharp arugula and the tangy mustard. But the real star of the show is the homemade herb mayo that is so creamy and aromatic, and just so flavorful! Deli-Fresh Sandwich is refreshingly amazing, and it will raise your lunch game forever!

Ingredients

  • For the herb-mayo:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, freshly chopped
  • 2 teaspoons thyme, freshly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • For the sandwich:
  • 8 slices thick bread, such as country white bread or sourdough
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • arugula, to taste
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Directions

Step 1 -In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, the parsley, the thyme, the oil, and the garlic and whisk to combine.

Step 2 -On 4 slices of the bread, spread 2 tablespoons of the herb-mayo on each. Reserve the remaining herb-mayo for another use.

Step 3 -On the remaining slices of the bread, spread 1 tablespoon of the mustard on each.

Step 4 -Top each of the herb-mayo-smeared slices of the bread with 3 slices of the ham, 2 slices of the provolone, an even amount of the arugula, 2 slices of the tomato, and an even amount of the red onions.

Step 5 -Close the sandwiches with the mustard-smeared bread slices, mustard-side down.

Step 6 -Serve.
