  • 1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 16 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Step 3 -In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 of the eggs, and 8 tablespoons of the butter and mix well with an electric mixer.

Step 4 -Pat the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

Step 5 -In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

Step 6 -Add the remaining eggs, the vanilla, and the remaining butter to the cream cheese and beat together.

Step 7 -Add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture and mix well.

Step 8 -Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and bake until golden-brown, about 40-50 minutes.
