You can always count on the tender, juicy pork chops to meet your expectations, every single time. And the flavorful, fluffy rice they're baked with ensures you have a full meal on the table without too much of a fuss. It's just the best! The one-and-only Savory Pork Chops & Rice Bake will stick with you forever and ever. You'll never have to wonder what's for dinner again!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 (6-ounce) pork chops, bone-in
- 1 (10.75- ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of celery soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 1/2 cup butter
- parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil.
Step 4 -Add the pork chops to the oil and cook until they are brown, about 5-8 minutes per side.
Step 5 -Transfer the pork chops to the prepared baking dish.
Step 6 -In a saucepan, whisk the cream of chicken soup, the cream of celery soup, and the milk together until completely smooth.
Step 7 -Slowly stir the rice and the butter into the soup mixture.
Step 8 -Bring the rice mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted.
Step 9 -Pour the rice mixture over the pork chops.
Step 10 -Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Step 11 -Bake the pork chops and the rice until the rice has absorbed the liquid and the meat reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 2 hours.
Step 12 -Serve the pork chops over the rice, garnished with the parsley.
