Ingredients

  • For the cake:
  • flour, to taste, for dusting the pan
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 (4 serving-sized) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • For the icing:
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • white chocolate chips, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Liberally grease a 10-inch fluted tube pan and then lightly dust it with the flour.

Step 3 -In a stand mixer, using the paddle attachment, combine the cake mix, the vanilla pudding mix, the sour cream, the eggs, the vegetable oil, and the water, using the low setting until combined, about 30 seconds

Step 4 -Combine the mixture on medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute.

Step 5 -Stir in 2 cups of the white chocolate chips.

Step 6 -Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Step 7 -Bake until the cake is set, 50-55 minutes.

Step 8 -Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then invert the pan onto a cake plate.

Step 9 -In a medium bowl whisk together the powdered sugar, the milk, and the vanilla.

Step 10 -Drizzle some of the icing over the still-warm cake, reserving the remaining icing for serving.

Step 11 -Allow the cake to cool.

Step 12 -Sprinkle the cake with the remaining white chocolate chips.

Step 13 -Slice, drizzle with the remaining icing, and serve.
