Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups white sugar, divided
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons milk, divided
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 1 1/2-pound loaf pan.

Step 3 -In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 cup of the sugar, the flour, the baking powder, and the salt and stir to combine.

Step 4 -Add the egg, 1 cup of the milk, and the oil to the flour mixture and beat until just moist.

Step 5 -In a small bowl, add the cinnamon and the remaining sugar and stir to combine.

Step 6 -Pour 1/2 of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 7 -Top the batter layer with 1/2 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and swirl it using a knife.

Step 8 -Pour the remaining bread batter on top of the swirl.

Step 9 -Top the batter with the remaining cinnamon-sugar and swirl it with a knife.

Step 10 -Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.

Step 11 -Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes before transferring the bread from the loaf pan.

Step 12 -In a medium mixing bowl, add the butter, the powdered sugar, the vanilla, and the remaining milk and stir to combine.

Step 13 -Drizzle the topping mixture over the bread.

Step 14 -Serve.
