Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds steak, such as rib-eye, top sirloin, or tri-tip, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • green onions, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a bowl with a lid, add the honey, the bourbon, the soy sauce, the Worcestershire sauce, the garlic, the salt, and the pepper and whisk to combine.

Step 2 -Add the steak cubes to the marinade.

Step 3 -Seal and shake the bowl and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours.

Step 4 -Heat a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.

Step 5 -Add the oil and the butter to the hot pan and heat until the mixture begins to ripple.

Step 6 -Add the steak cubes in batches and cook until seared on all sides and the steak cubes reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 7 -Transfer the steak cubes from the pan.

Step 8 -Pour the pan juice over the steak tips.

Step 9 -Serve garnished with the green onions.
